Heritage Brothers Funeral Services can help you tailor a complete service that is unique and appropriate to the needs of your family, with services that range from contemporary to traditional, and that meet specific cultural requirements.
A funeral service can be held at many different types of location – churches, at our chapels or at other locations according to your desire. The location of the service may be separate from that of the burial or cremation, so that a larger funeral service may be followed by a more private graveside ceremony. Alternatively, the entire funeral service may take place at the one location.
We will assist you every step of the way in arranging a service that best captures your needs for the day and your desires in saying goodbye to and memorialising your loved one in a way that is appropriate to them. You may find our information on planning a funeral helpful for this. The information and checklists included can help you make decisions with respect to music, presentations and other aspects of an individually-planned service.
Viewings are often a significant part of a funeral service. They may be private events for close family members prior to the service or part of the general service itself. We can assure you of our best attention in arranging and conducting this perhaps most special aspect of your loved one’s service.
If choosing burial, you may wish to select a new site or use an existing site. We can assist with the processes required for burial in any cemetery or memorial garden, including requirements for headstones or markers, and answer any questions you might have have.
If cremation is selected, we can highly recommend the chapels and facilities available at our own Melaleuca Station Memorial Gardens at Chinderah. The Melaleuca chapels and other facilities such as after-service catering are also available for services prior to burial. So too is the modern chapel at our Burleigh location.
Heritage Brothers can also assist with the selection and use of crematorium facilities in other locations throughout Australia.
Should you require help with organising a gathering after the service for family or friends, Heritage Brothers Funerals Services can assist with venues and catering.
In some circumstances, it may be desired to hold a private funeral service followed by a memorial service at a later date. Please ask us for more information about memorial services should you wish to explore this option.
