A well arranged funeral is the starting point to the healing process.  A funeral service is a meaningful way to celebrate a life, surrounded by family and friends.  For some cultures and religions it is a rite of passage.

Heritage Brothers will walk you through the entire funeral planning process.  We are available at all hours, everyday to assist you with your funeral planning needs.

In the event of a death in a hospital or care facility, the nursing staff would advise family first, allowing them to contact the funeral home of your choice.  In the event of a death at home, the doctor or home care nurse should be called, always knowing that Heritage Brothers are contactable 24 hours a day to assist in these time.

The funeral homes role is to assist family in making all the arrangements for the funeral, liaising with doctors, church, celebrants, clergy, cemetery, crematorium, florists, newspapers, Caterers, RSL, clubs, function venues, Veteran Affairs, Centrelink, Registrar General, Media and Printing e. A good funeral director would present all the options available to family, discuss viewing needs, clothes for the deceased, picture tributes, streaming options, music options, coffin and casket options, design handouts, carefully explain the process and keeping family informed of costs as well. A written quotation is provide by Heritage Brothers Funeral Staff at the time of enquiry or arrangement. This can be provided in person or via email on request.

Before meeting the Funeral Director

Cremations

Heritage Brothers proudly offers cremation services at our own crematorium at Melaleuca Station Memorial Gardens at Chinderah, or a crematorium of your preference, including the Gold Coast based facility at Nerang or facilities at Tweed Heads, or Duranbah in the Northern Rivers.

Heritage Brothers Staff will assist in all preparation for cremation including cremation permits, death registration, transportation and a full explanation of the costs involved.

Burials

The Gold Coast, Tweed Heads & Northern Rivers areas have a range of cemeteries, including privately owned & council operated options. Heritage Brothers regularly works with council cemeteries at Mudgeeraba, Southport, Coomera, Pimpama, Tweed Heads, Duranbah & Murwillumbah, as well as private facilities such as Allambe Gardens Memorial Park in Nerang. Heritage Brothers will always work with the facility of your preference.

Heritage Brothers staff will assist in booking the cemetery and service venue, arrange for certificates, celebrant, flowers, press notices, printing and design of service sheets and any music or media requirements.
